Bernard Englard, President
Mr. Englard oversees development, asset management and capital market activities. He has 35 years of hands-on real estate experience and has been a Certified Public Accountant in New York since 1976. He received a B.A. in Economics from City College of New York in 1970 and later attended Bernard Baruch College for graduate studies in Accounting. Mr. Englard has also been personally active as a consultant in various real estate ventures.
As president of AV Properties, Mr. Englard began to acquire multi-family properties in 1988. The company targeted poorly operated properties in well located markets of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, successfully growing the Dallas-Fort Worth portfolio to over 5,000 units. Additionally, given Mr. Englard's accounting background, he is responsible for all financial aspects related to operations and management of the properties. He personally negotiates all major contracts and provides final approval of all invoices related to the properties in order to maximize the control of all expenses.
Stuart Englard, Vice President
Mr. Englard joined AV Properties in 2004, and focuses on development, acquisitions and management oversight. As an asset manager, Mr. Englard has excelled at identifying opportunities by capitalizing on market inefficiencies and the purchase of underperforming assets.
Mr. Englard holds a law degree from New York University School of Law, and graduated from Brooklyn College wtih a B.A. in Accounting. Drawing on his education and experience in the legal field, Mr. Englard has skillfully negotiated the contracts on various purchases, sales, loan agreements and legal matters. His ability to forsee liabilities and navigate them efficiently has resulted in strong relationships with clients, investors and lenders alike.

Robert Englard, Vice President
Mr. Englard oversees asset performance and management operations. He is also responsible for supervising all major capital projects and improvements with a keen eye focusing on maximizing value and minimizing cash outlays. Mr. Englard joined AV Properties in 2009, and has since skillfully implemented cost reduction projects and property reposition programs. Mr. Englard's management expertise and attention to detail has enhanced AVPM's status as a top performing property management company in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.
David Schattner, Vice President
Mr. Schattner joined AV Properties in October 2015. Mr. Schattner focuses on business development, acquisitions and tax issues. Prior to joining AV Properties, Mr. Schattner held the position as a Senior Tax Consultant at Grant Thornton LLP™, focusing on tax issues pertaining to real estate companies, trusts and estates, and privately held companies. Mr. Schattner received his law degree, cum laude, from Fordham Law School in 2013.
Joseph Nussbaum, Controller
Mr. Nussbaum oversees the financial aspects of the company, including accounting, reporting, and treasury functions. Mr. Nussbaum graduated from Bernard Baruch College with a degree in Business Administration and joined AV Properties in 2008.
